The Dawn Chorus. A diverse, melodic pop album with fifteen songs about relationships, nature, and our need to protect the planet. Windows. This full-band album weaves dark ballads, funny pop songs, original classical instrumentals, and two solo piano pieces by Alexander Scriabin into a single musical journey (2008). Sample: https://soundcloud.com/michael-holt/gold

Someone Still Loves You Michael Holt (A Scrapbook for You). A split CD with Missouri indie-pop band Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, featuring six very diverse songs culled from my early 4-track home recordings. The six SSYLBY tunes include their cover of my song "Cora." A limited edition with creative, handmade packaging; each copy is unique (2005). Pilot Single. An indie-rock album recorded in San Francisco, New York, and Toronto with my friends from each of those cities. Its lyrics speak so personally, "...there are lines here that he should be genuinely ashamed of." – Exclaim Magazine (2003). Sample: https://soundcloud.com/michael-holt/singing-part

I'm Here With You. An intimate collection of eight simple, lullaby-like songs, with just voice and nylon-stringed classical guitar (1998). Sample: https://soundcloud.com/michael-holt/song-for-my-grandma

Pajama Garden. My first solo album, a playful, experimental, 22-song journey into it's own magical world of colors and shapes. It features many of the downtown New York art-rock musicians I grew up with, and includes a full color, 12-page booklet of lyrics, drawings, and photos (1991). Sample:

The Connotations. This is my my early New York band's self-titled cassette of eclectic, wacky, frenetic, danceable, and XTC-influenced ska-new-wave. It was released on the house label of CBGB, the club where we spent half our waking hours (1986). Sample: https://soundcloud.com/michael-holt/i-do-not-think-i-would-have-some-fun
